    Windows 7

I am using the Beta right now and it actually looks impressive. It's fast, more power efficient, and uses less resources than Vista. This is unbelieveable.

Well if you have a computer or something that has 1 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 128 MB of graphic memory, and 20GB+ of Hard drive space, you can actually download it from the Microsoft website. I always encourage though to have above minimum specs. If you have 2GB of RAM you will be sailing.

Another word of advice... DON'T UPGRADE IT FROM XP OR VISTA. It only lasts till August 1, 2008. Make a separate partition and install Windows 7 on the new partition.

I only had BSOD when I was trying to use my FW port. It was driving me nuts. I learned I had to change the driver in order to get it to work properly. i haven't had any issues after that (YET).

If you haven't done so, make sure you get the latest drivers for you computer for W7. Since it is based on Vista you can just download them to make it work (presumingly). Also don't forget, at the end of the day... it is a Beta and it should be considered unstable.

lol dude.. ive had 7 for a looong time now, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay b4 its 7000 release :P
So the drivers werent an issue, had everything working.
The problem wasnt so much 7, sonce its a beta its understandable, had my laptop running for days without turning off, heating up alot and shit... so even when it still impressive for a beta, specially for MS, they improvs over vista arent really that high yet... but u can see where they are heading to.
When its ready and a finall release, i will upgrade for sure tho.

    ya its pretty sweet

to be honest i dont mind vista whatsoever

all these critics say its horrible, but like most new things, they had to work out some bugs. by the time i got it and got all the upgrades/updates. its worked perfectly and have had NOT A SINGLE problem

but 7 def has some cool features. but so does vista, and as time goes along it continuously gets improved and....its exciting :)
