Rapper MAX B has been sentenced to 75 years behind bars after a New Jersey judge found him guilty of murdering a hotel guest in a botched robbery.
The Harlem hip-hop star, real name Charly Wingate, was charged with felony murder along with his accomplice, Kelvin Leerdam, for shooting and killing David Taylor in September, 2006.
Wingate’s girlfriend Gina Conway, who planned the robbery, testified against the rapper and Leerdam in court in Hackensack, New Jersey in June
Leerdam was handed a life sentence and an additional 35 years behind bars and Conway is facing an 18-year sentence for her part in the crime.
Prior to receiving his sentence, Max B had just signed a deal with Amalgam Digital Records and he was in the process of releasing his debut album, Vigilante Season.

How would he release an album when jim jones holds his publishing rights?
Yesterday, after it was reported that Max B had been sentenced to 75 years in prison his associate French Montana responded with clarification saying Max's defense team still has a limited amount of time to change the judge's ruling.
Writing via Twitter, French cleared up the terms of Max's sentence. "max b did not get 75 years," French wrote yesterday (September 3). "he didn't get sentence today..."max b did not get 75 years," French wrote yesterday (September 3). Idont like max B, but to get 75 years off a crack head hookers testimony is bogus.
