HOW DO YOU GUYS STUDY. See Ive never really needed to study, I did engineering in college and it was a breeze for me I have a way with numbers they just stick in my head and I dont need to study, now im doing a business degree and I find myself having to study for the courses with heavy reading.

For the finance and accounting courses I dont need to study those are heavily numbers based ,but the shit ones like the liberal arts courses or Organisational behaviour and such with heavy reading is killing me.

BASICALLY I DONT KNOW HOW TO STUDY I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS

SO HELP A BROTHER OUT, WHAT EXACTLY IS STUDYING AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT DOING IT. And I wish you guys could see my face right now, IM SERIOUS IN ASKING SUCH A QUESTION.

SO help a black brother out so that I can get a good job and move up in life like The Answer and Sneaky and not become a statistic

its fuked up, I feel so fuked man. I have an OB exam wednesday I have to know all these chapters but its so tedious. Its hard studying for something you have no interest in.

Like ill by books about investing and company evaluations and all that shit big ass books and Ill read the shit and just grasp everything, but these lame ass courses I just cant absorb shit fakkk shit fak fakshit shittttt. Ive been studying this shit since last week and ask me what I know sigh

I took engineering too and I found the liberal arts courses easier then the math ones lol.

All i can say is suck it up, read and take notes. Also try to figure out the point of each paragraph your reading is.

I remember I had this class and the exam was based on 60 pages of this book that the professor wrote lol. I just read it through 3 times. took like 3-4 hours and i felt like I was going to puke on the third read but everything just stuck to my brain.

for me...its just trying to memorise what i need to know..thats it..but i never used to study a lot though if i had a test maybe the night before i'd study for 1-2 hrs...stopping in between

Second but I put off this course for so long because I knew I hated the shit

sigh. Im working on it though I just found out the prof has the book website and shit activated so Im reading and doing the quizzes for each chapter online.

Sneaky we're the complete opposite, a mean I know college isnt the same as UNI but my college engineering courses I killed them only the odd courses like c++ and networking and such I didnt do so well in. Now in uni I kill the financial and acct courses , but i sucked at business law OB and these liberal arts courses

also cabbie if your text comes with a cd and website activation use it. I was looking at my midterms and I realise some of the profs use the questions from the website thats affliated with the book.

I also realised that i may do my mba in econ, man i fuking love those courses

I'm having a hard time with Finance as it's less math and more theory, it's mind numbingly boring and I'm having a panic attack. This thread=how I'm feeling in words except I'd a lot more

And shit. Accounting is a breeze... it's fucking Intro to Business. How the fuck do I study for that bullshit? Which is like OB I suppose.

you dont really study for the ACC intro, basically what I did to get an A was I practice the questions really I dont study shit. So id like to an extended balance sheet 5 to 6 times, after the 4th your usually good anyways. Like dont study for that shit, just practice the questions youve already done in class. Once you can read and understand each transaction youll be good.

lol no Accounting is easy, it's the essay writing in the Intro to Bus. that will kill me.

lol I hated accounting & finance. Failed 3 of the 5 required courses.

Anyway forget reading & memorizing. The best way to study is just doing the homework & practicing exercises. (goes for all subjects) Applying what you are learning is so much more easier to remember.

I had my sociology exam this morning and finished it in 20 minutes (time limit was 1 1/2 hours). I practiced answering the questions for no more than 2-3 hours last night.

yeah that just comes down to choice
(not going back to academic probation was enough motivation for me lol)

you can get creative and make the subject fun/interactive (especially when the teacher can't) have the topics you learning relate to something you enjoy...definitely helps

thats me too. micro and acc comes so easy. and yeah Intro to business is a peice of trash.

And I know how you feel about not being interested, I find that too when Im not interested in a course my mind just blocks out remembering it.

but you know what klein im going to try that, but with OB its different brah because theres tonnes of shit to write when doing a practice question for OB.

Cabbie when we're done our degrees we'll start the Hype Holding Company we'll buy all the strip clubs and turn them into a stripclub/carwash/bowling alley/ tim hortons and mcdonalds lulz
