I already checked out Craigslist and ebay for you. NOTHING... well.... there was an Ecler Hak 380 on ebay for $525 canadian which is BANANAS! But no NUO 3. Eclers are a hard find since they only started distributing two years ago. If I find anything I'll let you know though.

Trust me yo. That's like 50% off. There has to be a catch. There just has to be.
If I find something I'll let you know. It will be hard though. Cause only three stores in the province of Ontario carry it.
Moog Audio in Toronto.
Fleet Sound in Ottawa
Long and Mcquade in Sauga.
I don't know about Quebec but I know some places in British Columbia has it. Imma post you the link of the distributor and you can find some dealers.
Here it is.

you know what..i think i'm gonna settle for a nuo 2..
i realized a 3rd phono channel isn't really necessary for the moment..but yet i still get the benefit of the extra line channel (perhaps purchasing a CDJ 100 or 200 in the future just for the heck of it)
if i wanted a 3rd/more channel..i'd probably get a Vestax PCV model as a back-up(or their old 19" models..like the sexy PMC-46 MKII with the rotaries :)
but with this choice i save 200 dollars( i can buy some new headphones, another cart..and some more music)
P.S getting torq in less than 2 months finally

bump..know1..i see you online man lol

LMAO. You friggin stalker. LMAO!! I honestly didn't know you posted in this.
Man are you sure ditching the Nuo3? The Nuo2 is still a good choice still, but I know you had your heart set on the Nuo3.
If you went with the Nuo 2, which headphones or cart would you get?

The PMC-46 mkII? That doesn't have Mid EQ. Ewww.
-
lol i'm still contemplating on the nuo 2 or nuo 3..but to be honest either choice is gonna be good for me..i'm positive
carts..man i'm going back to the M44Gs i don't know why i sold mine(i needed the money)..but man i fell in love with it..i don't see myself using any other cart really
headphones..HDJ1000..around my budget..i've heard great reviews on it..and i will definitely be impressed..since what i have been using for the last 2 years..were a one working cup pc headphones..and cheap generic earphones (that i'm currently using)
and about the no mid..who cares yo..lol i'm using a mixer that doesn't even have EQs per channel..i work twice as hard using master eqs :)

You sold your carts? Which ones were you using after?
The HDJ 1000s are a great pair of headphones. I own a pair.I like the sound and isolation of them. The only disadvantage with them is that they are a bit more delicate so you have to be careful with them. I heard stories of them breaking. Some other headphones to look at are:
Sony MDV-7506: These are DURABLE. Francis from Moog told me his lasted for 7 years. The sound from them is pretty good too. The isolation good as well.
HD-25: Expensive as hell, but WELL worth it. Great sound, supurb isolation (I tried them before, they REALLY kill that noise). And parts are replaceable.
Technics RP-DH1200: These are another good pair of headphones. The hinges are strong and they are really comfortable. The sound I honestly couldn't really tell the difference from them and the HDJ-1000. They both have replaceable cords.
Personally, I would remain patient and wait till I get enough $ for the Nuo3.
The mixer your using right now doesn't have EQs? Which one is that? lol
-
hmm the MDR-7506..i'll definitely take a look at them..isolation is probably the most important thing..as well as minimum distortion
after i sold my carts..i was using an M447..and an old stanton cart..i can't really tell what model it is..
when using them..of course there's more output on the shure..but when adding the gain (i don't have gain knobs so..i have to set the master..
so that the maximum level on channel 1(with the stanton) without getting any distortion..is at max. 10
and on channel 2 with the shure..it is set at like 7.5-8
so both have the same level of frequency/output
^hope that wasn't confusing..lol
and here's the mixer..it's AN ANCIENT PYRAMID from probably the early 80s..you know how much i've scratched with this thing..and it isn't bleeding AT ALL..i do enjoy the stiff channel faders though..and the frequency EQs on the right are for the master output..really took alot to get used to..changed my whole method of mixing

Basically you are using different types of carts with different output levels. Adding to the fact you don't have gains for each particular channel, you have to adjust the channel levels accordingly so that they have the same volume. However, due to the different specs of the carts, one of them is most likely going to distort from the higher volume. Is that it?
Don't forget, the cart body of the M44-7 is the same as the G. So if anything, you just need to buy a G stylus and buy one more M44-G cart and you're set.
And WOW @ the Pyramid mixer. Talk about VINTAGE. lol. And NO bleeding. That's quality right there. That deserves a rep.
And yeah check out those ones I mention, but I think the MDR-7506 might fit the bill, except the HD-25, those are like $269.
-
you're on the money..
luckily it matches with the stanton..i tried it with my Shure SC35C..but there's too much low,mid frequency in it and almost half as less output..(i'm just trying to sell it with my old turntable..so i'm one step closer to the mixer)..
and yeah it's a good thing i can just get the N44g stylus..and another m44g..I, then, save about 25-30 dollars..
The Sony MDR fits my budget..and i assume will def. be worth the price..
and yes lol the pyramid is a beast..really beats their crap-ass equipment these days..
now i gotta get ready for my mid term..peace out
