I'm hair retarded at times. I recently learned and understood how weave works... and it looks weird as fuck. The braids, then the sewing... I don't understand how it damages it though. Braids are good for your hair. Doesn't it....help?

Because of how tight some girls braid their weaves in, they begin to thin on their edges. Head Scarfs are also a big no-no.

    Nope,
I get that shit braided in,
not glued in, not feeling the glue business.
    You used to be alright
    What happened?
    Etcetera etcetera
    Facts for whatever
    Fifteen steps
    Then a shear drop...

I am allergic to the glue, so I never get glue in. but I want to try that interlocking where they braid your hair and leave part of the weave out.

only at the hairline,Some people cornrow waaaay too tight, that shit breaks your hair. also, if the track sits too close to the nape (back of the neck), you can kiss the hair back there goodbye. As long as someone does it PROPERLY and you're not trying to do it yourself, it can grow you're hair a lot, because that time in the summer, although my hairline broke, the rest of my hair grew like weeds.

    Head scarfs?

Sewing in weave is not as bad as people make it out to be. I had mine in for a few weeks and my hair grew a couple of inches.

___whatever when you get it cornrowed is it straight back or curved??

@ Abby it depends what I'm doing (curly hair, straight, bangs) and who's cornrowing it, but straight back I find causes the most problems... the "around the world" way is better, muuuuch better.

Ive never experience weave damage. When my mom does it my hair grows like CRAZY but I usually leave my real hair on the top and THATS the hair that usually gets damaged and breaks easy.... I usually have braids in so I have taking care of my hair issues :S

The only damage Ive ever heard of is when glue is used or when girls leave it in for months at a time and cant get it out (idiots.). I dont need weave (thank you mom and dad) but I get them anyway during competition season because trying to get my own hair straight and keeping it that way is just way to much work and probably really damaging in the long run.
